Spider Plus recently supported a landmark glazing project at a private villa on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. Leading the operation was the compact and powerful UNIC URW-547 spider crane, selected for its strength and ability to operate in tight spaces.
The task involved lifting and installing 18 oversized glass panels, each measuring 3 metres by 2 metres and weighing around 1 tonne. Working with such large and delicate materials in a high-end residential setting required a smart lifting solution that could safely handle heavy loads with accuracy and control.
To reach the installation point, the mini crane was lifted onto the first floor of the villa — a clear demonstration of the crane’s adaptability and Spider Plus’s technical capabilities. Once in position, the Hydraulica 2000 Maxi vacuum lifterwas used alongside the URW-547 to securely grip and place each panel during installation.
With a 4-tonne lifting capacity, compact design, and user-friendly features, the URW-547 proved to be the ideal choice for this project. Whether for villas, towers, or tight-access sites, this mini crane delivers powerful lifting support when space is limited.
