Spider Plus, the UAE dealer for UNIC Cranes Europe, recently completed an impressive lifting project at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai’s largest resort. The project involved assembling an aluminum structure on a synthetic lawn, addressing unique challenges such as protecting the ground. A spider crane was utilized for the task, as the access bridge permitted a maximum weight of 3000 kg (3T) while managing the structure’s weight.
To meet these requirements, Spider Plus deployed two UNIC URW-295 Mini Spider Cranes. Known for their compact size and robust performance, these cranes were the perfect choice for the job. With a lifting capacity of 2.9 tons and a maximum height of 8.8 meters, the cranes worked in tandem to lift the structure which is 30M long and 450kg weight lifted smoothly to its final height of 4 meters.
The decision to use two cranes with dual hooks ensured efficiency and minimized turnaround time, showcasing the versatility of the URW-295 in projects requiring strength and mobility in limited spaces.
