Challenges and Solutions at the Rear of the Villa
The rear side of the villa presented its own set of difficulties. The glazing units, each weighing 400kg and measuring 4m x 2.5m, had to be lifted under a 1.8m overhang. Adding to the complexity was the limited space for crane setup, which required careful outrigger positioning over gaps.

Navigating the Front Facade Installation
The front of the villa was even more challenging, with heavier glazing units weighing 480kg and measuring 4m x 3m. These units had to be installed under a deeper 2.5m overhang, requiring precise maneuvering. The constrained space near the window openings demanded careful crane setup and execution.

Precision and Efficiency with Advanced Equipment
Despite these challenges, Spider Plus tackled the project with confidence. The URW-546 Mini Spider Crane’s compact body, just 1400mm in width, allowed it to navigate narrow access points with ease. With a maximum lifting height of 16m and a working radius of 15.52m, it provided ample reach for the installation.

The GL-UMC 600 Glass Manipulator attachment offered exceptional control, enabling precise positioning of each glass unit under the overhang. The 360° continuous rotation, 35° head slew, and 120° tilt functions, combined with radio remote control, minimized manual handling and enhanced safety throughout the installation process.
